World Mask Study

Re-Creating Our Past One Mask at a Time

The World Mask Study was started in late 2016. It started out as a simple way for me to check out cool masks and learn more about the types and to also learn more about graphic design and design in general by bringing these old masks back to life in the digital form.

Each Drawing is based off a real world mask/art piece.  I try to stay as respectful to the original artists intent as I can. Doing this really taught me about how other cultures viewed art, lines, shapes & color.
