Book Title: Principles of Three-Dimensional Design
Purchase: – Principles of Three-Dimensional Design
Principles of Three-Dimensional Design by Wucius Wong is another amazing design fundamental book by the brilliant designer. Other books in the series like Principles of Two-Dimensional Design and Principles of Color Design. If you were to obtain all of works of Mr.Wong you would have one hell of a design foundation.
This book may seem pretty basic in appearance when you start to thumb through the pages. But the knowledge one can gain from a study of his ideas can be invaluable.
The Chapters are broken into types of planes and structures:
- Serial Planes
- Wall Structures
- Prisms & Cylinders
- Polyhedral Structures
- Triangular Planes
- Linear Framework
- Linear Layers
- Interlinking Lines
For this book review, I will be putting all of the images one after the other so you can really get a better idea for the book. Then at the end, I will talk about who I think this book is for and a few other items.
I hope you were able to get a good idea for how the book is layed out and a little bit of what to expect.
So who would this book be for? Anyone who is interested in gaining the fundamental yet advanced knowledge of three-dimensional design.
More specifically if you are starting design school or already have some knowledge but want to refine and further said knowledge. The illustrations are perfect for showing the examples and really make this entire book that much easier to grasp.
Can Wucius Wong do no wrong? I’m starting to think that is the case. A little hint, on Amazon you can find this book for like 0.55 Cents Used. So if you like to save money this is a good one. But you will have to pay for shipping. Amazon prime usually doesn’t work on those really cheap ones.
