Book Title: Designing Corporate Symbols
Author: David E. Carter
Designing Corporate Symbols by David E. Carter was one of these books that I was painfully trying to track down for what seemed like ages. In truth, I could have gotten it but I didn’t want to spend $150 for a book (at that time)
Now that I have a copy I can tell you the wait was worth it. The logo designs in this book are amazing, simple and elegant. Smart, modernistic and did I forget inspiring. If you are a logo designer or better yet just a graphic designer you will find something in this book that will inspire.
Unlike other books on logo’s this one keeps it simple with 1 logo per page. Under each design, you get a paragraph telling you about the logo, who made it and what it was used for.
As you can see what this book lacks in content amount, it more than makes up for with quality, of content. That is really all that needs to be said. If you love graphic design or are specifically a logo designer, this book would go great in your collection. I know I am happy with mine.
